THE MODERN PARADIGM OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTERPRISES IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE VUCA WORLD

Abstract

The
article presents the theoretical foundations of the economic category "innovation". The essence is
revealed and the variety of approaches to understanding the content of innovations is revealed. The
content of innovations through the prism of modern transformations of the business environment has
been specified.
The economic essence of the innovative development of enterprises and its role in social
reproduction are presented. The influence of the state of development of science and technology on
the level of innovativeness of social reproduction is proven. The level of knowledge intensity of
Ukraine's GDP is given as an indicator of the country's innovative capacity, and its low value and
tendency to decrease in recent years are revealed.
The Global Innovation Index is considered as an international indicator of the state of innovative
development of the countries of the world. The place of Ukraine in the international ranking was
analyzed and the existing gap and lag behind the state of innovative development of the national
economy compared to the highly developed countries of the world was determined. Such a negative
trend characterizes the realization of only a cognitive role by science, but science manifests its
economic function in society to a small extent.
The essence of the unstable and difficult-to-predict VUCA world in which the global economy
functions is revealed. The range of action, challenges and threats of the VUCA world on all spheres
of society's life have been revealed. It is substantiated that the VUCA world is characterized by
transformational processes that require companies to be prompt and flexible, quick to respond and
adapt to new challenges. Modern enterprises face a dynamic landscape of new technologies, such as
artificial intelligence, big data arrays, robotic automation of business processes and green
technologies.
It is proved that innovative processes, innovative activities and innovative development are a
logical response of humanity to the challenges of today by reformatting the system of social
reproduction on the basis of innovative activity.
The role of managing the innovative development of enterprises in the conditions of geopolitical
changes and instability of international relations, political conflicts, economic and social crises is
revealed. The characteristic trends of the modern paradigm of innovative development of enterprises
are summarized.
The conceptual principles of innovative development of enterprises in the conditions of global
transformational transformations and challenges of the VUCA world are proposed. It is emphasized
that an important component of the transformation of modern enterprise management is not only the
understanding of the realities of business functioning and the implementation of the principles of
wartime management, as well as the formation of an effective basis for new trajectories of activity
and innovative development of enterprises in the post-war period. It has been proven that the
experience of the world's economic leaders confirms the important mission of innovation and
innovative progress of the national economy in achieving economic progress.
