GREEN STARTUPS: THE GUARANTY TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN GLOBAL ECONOMIC CHALLENGES

Abstract

The article
examines the role of green startups as a key factor in the sustainable development of Ukraine's
economy and ecological landscape. Modern global environmental challenges, such as climate
change, environmental pollution, and resource depletion, create a need for innovative solutions that
minimize negative impacts on the environment. Green startups, which focus on renewable energy,
ecological transportation, waste recycling, and energy efficiency, all this conseptual components play
a crucial role in this transformation.
The scientific article analyzes the impact of green innovations on the national economy, including
the creation of new work places, the development of emerging markets, the attraction of foreign
investments, and the stimulation of industrial ecological modernization. In the article have been
highlighted the successful state of Ukrainian’s green startups such as Recycling Solutions (industrial
waste recycling), Go To-U (a platform for electric vehicle charging), and Effa (manufacturing of ecofriendly products).
The research identifies the main challenges faced by green startups in Ukraine: insufficient
government support, a lack of targeted financing programs, low levels of environmental awareness
among the population, and difficulties for entering to international markets. It has been proposed the
optimal solutions, including the development of an effective support system for innovative activity of
enterprises, expansion of international cooperation, and the implementation of educational programs
for achieving the high level of environmental consciousness.
Further research in this area should focus on developing mechanisms to stimulate green
startups’development, integrating them into global value chains, and assessing the long-term
economic and environmental benefits of their activities.
