Abstract

The
relevance of studying the labor potential of agricultural enterprises in ukraine is driven by the
persistent shortage of workforce, the aging rural population, and the declining professional
qualifications of agricultural workers. These challenges necessitate a comprehensive scientific
analysis of the mechanisms for reproducing and developing labor potential capable of ensuring the
effective functioning and competitiveness of domestic agricultural production under the conditions of
global economic transformations. Particular importance is attributed to studying the socio-economic determinants of forming high-quality labor potential, as well as implementing innovative approaches
to professional development and employee motivation in the agricultural sector.
The conducted research identified key trends and features in the development of labor potential
and the economic dynamics of ukraine's agricultural sector. It emphasizes the crucial role of
agriculture as a foundational sector that ensures the country’s food security and export opportunities.
A positive trend in the growth of agricultural enterprises was observed in regions such as vinnytsia,
dnipropetrovsk, and kirovohrad, despite macroeconomic challenges and regional instability caused
by military actions. At the same time, a reduction in the workforce highlights the existing labor
potential deficit, exacerbated by technological changes and demographic factors.
The study also highlights the need for targeted investments in modernizing agricultural
infrastructure, adopting modern technologies, and promoting sustainable practices. These measures
are critically important for enhancing productivity and mitigating the negative impact of external
factors such as economic crises or geopolitical tensions. The recovery and development of the most
affected regions in the post-war period will require special attention, considering significant losses
in enterprise activity and employment.
Prospective areas for further research include analyzing the long-term effects of technological
modernization on labor demand, exploring pathways for sustainable rural community development,
and designing innovative policies to stimulate inclusive growth. Furthermore, it is necessary to study
regional disparities in the productivity of the agricultural sector and propose strategies to address
these imbalances while considering ecological and economic sustainability.
